Rough Seas at the Pier - Venice Florida

The wind was coming in from the Gulf at about 35 which made for some great waves, always fun to see when not followed by a hurricane.

Although the wind makes it challenging to keep the camera and tri-pod upright and steady in the wind and surf, especially with long exposures, we did pretty good tonight.

I can never decide where I want to go locally for sunset pictures, the jetty or the pier, guess which won out tonight.  Love the way the water recedes from the beach when we have some larger waves, it is like a war of the waves crashing into each other.  I only noticed one couple who quickly were gone, not a single sole besides me out there, love these nights.
